Reflecting the ideas of Lester Ward, Charlotte Perkins Gilman argues that mothers are the true race type-peaceful, cooperative and congenial with life and growth whereas men are war like, sex obsessed, deadly and destructive. Slightly marked W. H. Smith label on the front pastedown, neat name on half title page, with some rubbing at hinges, some creasing at the rear cover, and corners slightly bumped, otherwise used, near very good with clean text.
