Britney Ruby Miller is CEO of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment (JRCE), headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, which manages a portfolio of high-end steakhouses widely regarded as among the best in the nation. She directs the company's seven steakhouses in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, leading a team of over six hundred employees.
“When your father is a steakhouse baron, you don’t just show up and take over the family business when you come of age,” she says. Britney started working in one of the family restaurants at age fifteen and subsequently gained experience in all areas of the business, and she also attended culinary school. Britney was studying in the Lindner College of Business when 9/11 hit, prompting her to switch her major and earn a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of Cincinnati before returning to the family business and eventually joining JRCE’s corporate team. She is currently pursuing an MBA from Xavier University.
In her corporate role, Britney’s leadership has led to year-over-year growth and record profitability, expanding the company while enhancing the key element on which its success depends: delivering absolutely impeccable total dining experiences in each market. When the economic effects of COVID-19 threatened not only her own business but also the entire restaurant industry and food supply chain nationwide, Britney became an energetic advocate for the restaurant industry and related industries on both state and federal levels.
Britney also helped to develop and launch one of her family’s main charitable endeavors, The Jeff Ruby Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to remove Cincinnati from the "Top 5 Childhood Poverty" lists by providing homes for foster children and lowering the number of kids in the county foster system. Britney has been named to the "40 Under 40" lists of the Cincinnati Business Courier and Cincinnati's Venue magazine, and she is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from leadership to marketing to women in business. She serves as a board member of The Jeff Ruby Foundation and the Ohio Restaurant Association, and she is a member of the Young Presidents Organization.
Britney is a dedicated wife and mother. She is married to Caleb Miller, a former linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals, and they have four children. Committed to putting family first, Britney continually strives to balance family life and work demands, enriching both realms of her life.
Reviews for 5-Star Life by Britney Ruby Miller
“Britney Ruby Miller is my goddaughter, yet it has been her faith that has inspired me. She has also become one of the most dynamic CEOs and civic leaders I know. During the pandemic, she willed the restaurant business back to life in Ohio with her political interactions and constant appearances on national television. You want to taste delicious leadership? Dig into this book.”—Cris Collinsworth, NBC’s Sunday Night Football, Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver
“Many people may look at Britney and think she has what she has because of her last name. And that is where they give her the advantage. She has worked in all areas of the restaurants and has fought for everything she has. Her faith. Her family. Her business. One amazing lady.”—Mike Schlotman, Retired CFO, Kroger
“It’s unpredictable just how a father-daughter relationship will evolve. There’s even more uncertainty when that daughter takes over her father’s business. The reality was that I learned as much from her as she learned from me. I have witnessed this young CEO advance a faith-based culture of caring for the company I gave birth to, and that makes me very proud. If you’re open to becoming a better leader, a better parent, a better sibling, a better daughter or son, a better spouse, or simply a better person, there’s no better book to read than this one.”—Jeff Ruby, Founder and Chairperson, Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment
“I’ve been honored to have my documentary Loud Krazy Love hosted at the famous Jeff Ruby’s Precinct location—talk about a 5-star life! I didn’t know it was even remotely possible to show a movie at a five-star restaurant, but leave it to Britney Ruby Miller: she can get anything done! I’ve traveled the world many times over since the early 1990s, and I’ve been to countless high-end restaurants. The standard of excellence, honor, and respect that Britney exemplifies at Jeff Ruby’s with her employees and customers is beyond anything I’ve seen anywhere else. The success and character that Britney walks in has been birthed by much trial and hardship. Give yourself a treat and eat up every word of wisdom that Britney shares in her amazing new book, 5-Star Life.”—Brian “Head” Welch, Cofounder, Grammy Award-winning band Korn, New York Times bestselling author, Save Me from Myself, Costar, Showtime documentary Loud Krazy Love
“From the moment I first met Britney Ruby Miller, I was impressed. She hasn’t been handed anything but has had to work for everything she knows. And through it all, she’s uncompromising when it comes to quality, and she leads her team with strength and ethics. Britney strives to pour into her staff and community and everyone she comes in contact with. She’s a fighter and utilizes her strengths to fight for others. I know you’ll enjoy this book from beginning to end and be inspired to fight for what you believe in.+—Danny Gokey, Grammy-nominated artist and three-time Dove Award winner, American Idol finalist
